Vancouver Police investigators are searching for a suspect after five men were stabbed outside Brooklyn nightclub in Gastown early this morning. A block of Alexander Street, between Columbia and Water Streets, was closed as police collected evidence. (The nightclub has entrances on Powell and Alexander Streets.) Police are asking for members of the public who may have witnessed or photographed the scene to come forward.

Police are investigating after a fight at a Gastown bar resulted in multiple stabbing victims sent to hospital.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m., police were called to the Brooklyn Bar on Powell near Columbia Street after a fight had broken out and several patrons had been stabbed. When officers arrived, they found a total of five men suffering from stab wounds.

Two victims were treated by paramedics at the scene and three were taken to hospital. A 20-year-old man has undergone surgery for severe injuries, but is considered to be in stable condition.

Officers have spoken with multiple witnesses and will be looking for video to help identify a suspect. No arrests have been made and the Vancouver Police Major Crime Section is now investigating.
